In August of 1992, I was work with Prudential’s Property & Casualty insurance company. On one fateful morning, things changed forever. Hurricane Andrew came ashore as a Cat 5 storm, cutting a deeply destructive path across Southern Florida. We took $1.7 billion in pre tax losses.
